The event was jointly hosted by Jenny Bromley, Vice-Principal of Mount Clear College and Director of Confucius Classroom, and Jijun Yang, Chinese Director of Confucius Classroom. Jenny expressed her warm welcome to over 50 local students who had achieved outstanding progress in Chinese learning and 10 Chinese students studying at Mount Clear College. Jijun Yang explained the reason why the celebration was delayed due to the Chinese students’ two weeks’ self-isolation at home because of the coronavirus spreading. He also talked about the Confucius Classroom's preparation for the celebration. All the students expressed their thanks to the Chinese teachers who had fully prepared for the celebration.
