Teachers and students from Confucius Institutes around the world and foreign friends who come to China for learning Chinese and love Chinese culture, cheer and pray for China in their own ways.

Asia: “Fight the Virus, and We Are Always with You”

On February 10, Ariel Porat, President of Tel Aviv University in Israel, said in a letter to Renmin University of China, the Chinese cooperation organization of Confucius Institute, “Both teachers and students of Tel Aviv University are concerned about the epidemic and deeply feel sad. In the face of the epidemic, teachers and students of the Confucius Institute at University of Dhaka in Bangladesh sent blessings together. Zhou Mingdong, Chinese Director of the Confucius Institute, said students bought masks and sent them to China after knowing about the incident. In Afghanistan, teachers and students of the Confucius Institute at Kabul University spontaneously cheered for Wuhan. “I hope the epidemic situation in China can be controlled as soon as possible. In Philippines, students at the Confucius Institute at Angeles University Foundation are also cheering for China. “We are very worried after hearing about the coronavirus epidemic in China. In Jordan, students who were taking the HSK Chinese Proficiency Test at the Confucius Institute at Philadelphia University found teachers at Confucius Institute after finishing the test and expressed their concern and support for the Chinese people.
