At 6:30 p.m. January 28th, local time, the Confucius Institute at the University of Valencia held the third activity of Chinese New Year’s series activities in El Corte Ingles. The unique way of writing foreigner’s name in Chinese calligraphy on the calendar, and the amazing Chinese-Spanish Confucius Institute magazines have attracted many foreigner friends. It also has received strong support from El Corte Ingles and got reported by a lot of local media outlets.

The Chinese director of the Confucius Institute at the University of Valencia Gao Hongbo with other teachers came early to decorate the place with Chinese couplet and Fu. With the Chinese traditional New Year’s music, the president of El Corte Ingles expressed his sincere wishes for the Chinese New Year and welcomed the Confucius Institute at the University of Valencia, and also invited the customers to celebrate the Chinese New Year together sincerely. Then, Mr. An Wenlong, the director of the Confucius Institute at the University of Valencia, also delivered a speech in which he expressed his appreciation for the strong support and cooperation of El Corte Ingles. He also introduced the culture of the Chinese New Year of the Rat and sent the Chinese style calendars and bilingual magazines to give his New Year greetings. More and more customers stopped to wait the beginning of the activity together.

After the official start of the activity, there was a long queue in front of the activity desk, and the local people were very cheerful when they saw their names written in Chinese by calligraphy teacher Adan and the Confucius Institute Chinese teacher Ma Xinyan. Their handwriting was wonderful. The complex names were written in Chinese one by one, which deeply attracted a lot of people. At the same time, the Chinese director of the Confucius Institute at the University of Valencia Ms. Gao Hongbo, together with the volunteer teachers sent the magazines and New Year's calendars for everyone, and the staffs of El Corte Ingles also warmly helped the Confucius Institutes to introduce the Chinese New Year activity and culture to foreign friends.

At 6:30 p.m. January 29th, local time, another Chinese calendar calligraphy activity was carried out in Nuevo Centro El Corte Ingles. This activity continued to be warmly welcomed. The attenders expressed their strong interests in Chinese New Year enthusiastically. At the same time, calendar calligraphy activity was also reported by many local media outlets, and it was also live broadcasted in the TV show. During the activity, Mr. An Wenlong, the director of the Confucius Institute at the University of Valencia, was interviewed by the local TV station. He was confident and responsive, showing the perfect image of the Confucius Institute at the University of Valencia. At the end of calendar calligraphy activity, the calendars written by teacher Adan and teacher Ma were all sent out. People took the calendars and magazines to share with each other and celebrated the Chinese New Year together.
