An Wenlong, the director of the Confucius Institute at the University of Valencia gave an opening speech for the event and expressed the sincere welcome to the guests on behalf of the Confucius Institute at the University of Valencia.

At the beginning of the activity, the volunteer teacher Sun of Confucius Institute led the audience to enjoy a unique video of “Hanfu show”, which successfully attracted the children's attention. The children watched it very carefully and deeply attracted by the unique charm of Hanfu. After enjoying the wonderful video, the handmade activity began. With the help of the PPT, Mrs. Sun began to introduce the materials needed to make Hanfu in details.

Children are very interested in Hanfu

Accompanied by the demonstration of gestures, the materials were displayed while the names of the materials were spoken in Chinese, then the method of making Hanfu was taught step by step.

In the progress of the activity, Mrs. Gao Hongbo, the Chinese director of the Confucius Institute, led the professional teacher and volunteer teachers to distribute materials for students and parents, then also kindly provided guidance and helped the children.

At the end, the children had gradually finished the Hanfu. Through this interesting handmade activity, the affection of children and parents for Chinese cultures is more and more stronger. The children also actively asked the teachers some questions about Chinese words, such as “how do you say this color in Chinese?”, and then they chose the color of the material they like and began to join it excitedly. Finally, with everyone’s effort, the children's handmade works of “Hanfu” had been formed. Seeing this beautiful and lovely Hanfu work, the children are very happy. They were excited to pick up their own work. Then everyone took photos together, using Chinese to say “happy New Year” happily. With this beautiful New Year wish, the activity had a perfect ending!
