First Course of First Confucius Classroom Funded by Chinese Enterprises in Sri Lanka Completed

The first course of the Confucius Classroom in Sri Lanka, jointly organized by the CRI Confucius Classroom at Lumbini College and China Construction Third Engineering Bureau Co., LTD, was officially completed on November 9th.

As the first Confucius Classroom funded by Chinese enterprise in Sri Lanka, the Confucius Classroom course, with a total of 50 hours, is mainly aimed at training localization managerial personnel. According to the actual needs of the enterprises, the Confucius Classroom has formulated a training plan according to local conditions. The training content includes daily Chinese, pronunciation, vocabulary, daily conversation, basic Chinese social etiquette and traditional culture, etc. After 25 hours of training, 21 students have all mastered the basic use of Chinese very well. Nusky, a local engineer of the Pearl Hotel Project of the China Construction Third Engineering Bureau Co., LTD, said excitedly: “Learning Chinese is very helpful to my work, and I will further study Chinese culture.”

According to the schedule, the students will take HSK (Level I) organized by the Confucius Classroom in early December, and the second course and the intensive class will be held early next year.
