Confucius Institute for Traditional Chinese Medicine at Australia RMIT Holds "Tracing the Origin of Mid-Autumn Festival, Sharing Reunion" Activities

On September 11th, local time, the Confucius Institute for Traditional Chinese Medicine at Australia RMIT held a Mid-Autumn Festival sharing activity themed with "Tracing Mid-Autumn Origin, Sharing Reunion". More than 50 teachers and students of the RMIT University participated in the event.

At the beginning of the activity, Zhang Yanping, Chinese Director of the Confucius Institute, delivered holiday greetings to the faculty members and students present, wishing everyone a happy Mid-Autumn Festival and a great family reunion.

The faculty members and students first watched a short video introducing the legend of Mid-Autumn Festival, and then learned about the origin of Mid-Autumn Festival and traditional customs through the explanation of volunteer teachers. Students from different Asian countries also shared their own stories of Mid-Autumn Festival. Accompanied by the melodious music, the teachers and students tasted sweet moon cakes while reading the Chinese classic poem “Prelude to Water Melody” written by Su Shi, a famous poet of China’s Song Dynasty.
