On December 29th, 2018, the Confucius Institute at the University of Banja Luka organized an activity in the building of the Faculty of Political Sciences to help local people have an experience in Chinese traditional painting with around 20 participants attending.

With traditional Chinese songs played as background music, Professor Gao Yang got started with a brief introduction on the features of Chinese traditional painting. Professor Gao explained the differences between the western painting and Chinese one in painting materials, layout of details, and color-using principles, etc. She also emphasized “Less is more” philosophical technique adopted in Chinese painting, which impressed everyone.
