A Lecture "Relations of Europe and China in History" Organized by Confucius Institute at University of Banja Luka

The Confucius Institute of the University of Banja Luka organized a lecture "Relations of Europe and China in History" held by Professor Doctor Boro Bronza at the Faculty of Political Sciences, on the 23rd of November.

Bronza talked about the relations between China and Europe, as well as the development of these relations from the time when China was ruled by the Qin dynasty until 1912. "China and its relations with the European continent have growing importance in the European public, and it is of the utmost importance that the University of Banja Luka and the Confucius Institute, Republika Srpska in general, find such a trend of studying various aspects of the Chinese space, which certainly involves the proper valorization of historical relations between China and Europe," Bronze said, adding that, as it is always the case, history can and should be learned something for the future Bronze believes that it is important to deepen knowledge about the geopolitical climate that it has and will have essential importance for our future political development.

Ljiljana Stevic, Director of the Confucius Institute of the University of Banja Luka, said that this was one of a series of thematic lectures on China and its culture, tradition and economic and social trends, organized by the Confucius Institute, and that similar lectures will be organized together with professors from the University of Banja Luka and in the following period.

Prof. Dr. Boro Bronza is a history professor at the Department of History at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Banja Luka.

The lecture was attended by the prominent representatives of society, such as advisor to the President Ms Ana Trisic Babic, Deputy Minister of Economic Relations and Regional Cooperation, Nemanja Kovacevic, professors and other academic citizens of Banja Luka and Republika Srpska.
