Confucius Institute Receives about 2 000 Donated Books

Handover of about 2 000 books that the Confucius Institute at the University of Banja Luka received from the Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) was made on October 8th, 2018.

The handover was made in the premises of the Faculty of Political Sciences at University of Banja Luka, where the premises of the Confucius Institute are located.

The handover was also attended by Prof. Dr. Zdravko Zlokapa, Dean of the Faculty of Political Sciences, Assistant Professor Dusko Trninic, Vice-Dean for Academic Affairs at the Faculty of Political Sciences, and Cai Ying, Chinese Director of Confucius Institute at the University of Banja Luka.

"The donation aims to further strengthen the cooperation of the Confucius Institute and the Faculty of Political Sciences at University of Banja Luka by enabling all the interested professors, associates and students to get familiar with the publications from China", said Prof. Dr Goran Latinovic, Vice-Rector for Scientific Research and Development at the University of Banja Luka during the handover of this valuable donation.

"This book donation by the Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) is very important for both the Confucius Institute and the University of Banja Luka, as it will enable the students to get additional literature with which they may learn more about Chinese culture, history and tradition", said Ljiljana Stevic, Director of Confucius Institute at University of Banja Luka, and emphasized that the books are mainly bilingual in Chinese and English language.


Browsing the books

"The Confucius Institute at University of Banja Luka has also become the HSK test center, which is an international standardized proficiency test, and this donation contains, among other things, complete textbooks for all HSK test levels", said Ljiljana Stevic and added that the donation also contains a lot of educational and cultural materials.
