Wang Xudong, a teacher at CIUB, said that many people showed great interest in Chinese language and culture as they came to ask about how to sign up and the time for the lessons. Zhang Bei, another teacher at CIUB, said that in the next six days, the Confucius Institute will further interact with local people by offering open Chinese courses and teaching people how to use chopsticks, blow Chinese ink paintings by mouth, cut paper, play touhu, kick shuttlecock, and taste tea.
