Confucius Institute of Artois University Participates in the China Week Cultural Activities in Dunkirk

From Feburary 22nd to 23rd, teachers in the Confucius Institute of Artois University were invited and went to Dunkirk for the Chinese traditional culture activity in Collège Moulin. The Chinese director of the Confucius Institute of Artois University Wu Zhaoyang, Chinese teacher Chen Yunyun and volunteer teacher Yang Yue brought calligraphy, paper cutting and Chinese painting respectively. During the two-day activity, 36 lessons in total, there were 181 people taking part in the activity.

The classes included teaching, showing and experience, which were active and well organized. Director Wu Zhaoyang gave every student a beautiful Chinese name by calligraphy. Teacher Chen Yunyun taught the students how to make traditional window grilles. Teacher Yang Yue led the students to draw panda in Chinese way. The interesting classes greatly stimulated the interests to Chinese traditional culture of the students. The teachers who led the students from these schools also tried to experience with the children in classes.

This activity brought the colorful Chinese traditional culture to the schools in Dunkirk, which strengthened the communication and cooperation between The Confucius Institute of Artois University and French schools. It also promoted spreading the local Chinese education and culture.
