Confucius Institute of Artois University Participates in Middle School of Arthur Van Hecke China Week

On Feburary 19th, the opening ceremony of the China Week was held at the Collège Arthur Van Hecke, Dunkerque. The Chinese director WU Zhaoyang, Chinese teacher CHEN Jinqiu and volunteer teacher WU Qian, LIN Jiaju of the Confucius Institute of Artois University took part in the ceremony which have some programs like Chinese dance, Taichi, Taichi sword and Chinese martial art provided by CHEN Jinqiu, LIN Jiaju and WU Qian. There are about 150 audiences attending the event which lasted on 1 hour.

On Feburary 20th, the second day of China Week, which had important teaching task, the Chinese director WU Zhaoyang, Chinese teacher CHEN Jinqiu and volunteer teacher WU Qian, LIN Jiaju of the Confucius Institute of Artois University arranged Chinese cultural courses lasted on 7 hours in Collège Arthur Van Hecke. The courses, which contain 8 classes, 640 students, were devided into four parts: Calligrapy, Dance, the art of tea and Chinese martial arts. In order to bring different Chinese cultural experience to each student of 8 classes, the four teachers continually had 8 courses, the number of which has reached the highest record than ever before, in one day.

During the activity, the Confucius Institute of Artois University actively cooperated with the Collège Arthur Van Hecke, Dunkerque to carry out the works,not only overfulfilled the teaching tasks of original plan, but strongly support the local Chinese teaching.
