Preliminary Round for 17th “Chinese Bridge” Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign College Students Held in Ulan Bator

On March 25th, the preliminary round of the 17th “Chinese Bridge” Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign College Students was held in Ulan Bator, capital of Mongolia. Contestants from nine universities, including the National University of Mongolia, the University of the Humanities, Mongolian State University of Education, Ulan Bator State University, participated in the contest.

The contest consisted of two sections: the first is speeches and Q&A, and the second is talent shows.

The Chinese Proficiency Competition this year focused more on the contestants’ individual talents.

After fierce competition, Ju Junli, Director of the Confucius Institute at the National University of Mongolia, representing the organizing committee, announced that 15 students had won the title of “Best Contestant”, including Marle Mar,a senior from the Chinese Department of the National University of Mongolia, Mönkhbat, a sophomore from the Chinese Department of the University of Humanities and Ochirmaa, a senior from the Chinese Department of Ikh Zasag International University.

This competition was sponsored by the Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban), organized by the Confucius Institute at the National University of Mongolia and Mongolia-China Chinese Language Teachers Association and co-organized by China-Mongolia Cultural and Educational Foundation and China Cultural Center in Ulan Bator.
