Chinese Culture Exposition Held in Marcq Institution

On December 21st and 22nd, 2017, the Confucius Institute of Artois was invited to arrange a two-day Chinese culture exposition in Institution de Libre de Marcq, Lille.

On 21st, Director Wu Zhaoyang, Lin Jiaju and Wu Qian, two volunteer teachers, showcased calligraphy, Chinese tea and Chinese Martial Arts Bagua Zhang to the students of Junior 2, 3 and 4 with the accompany of Xilinayi, a local Chinese teacher Xilinayi. The students were active in participating the activities and asking questions with great interests in Chinese culture. Director Igor of the school came to visit, and Director Wu Zhaoyang wrote his name in Chinese for him as a souvenir.

On 22nd, Director WU Zhaoyang, Chinese teacher CHEN Yunyun and volunteer teacher XU Meng taught calligraphy, paper cutting and Chen-Style Tai Chi to three classes of Junior and fourth grade. The students were happy with the teachers and their activities, as a good way of celebrating the coming Christmas.

157 students of four grades in total took part in this Chinese Culture Exposition which gave them a chance to experience three kinds of Chinese culture at one time. This Exposition motivated the students in Chinese learning.
