A Wonderful Sharing of Chinese Musical Instruments Held at Kelburn Normal School

On the 4th December, Confucius Institute at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand invited Li Kunli, a professor of music at the Xiamen University School of the Arts; accompanied by teachers Li Jing,Ye Feisheng, and Kong Jingyuan, a postgraduate student at the University of Victoria University of Wellington to perform at Kelburn Normal School in Wellington. They presented a feast of Chinese folk music to more than 300 teachers and students.

Music performance

The performers played the classic songs such as 'Instrumental Mesic of the Spring River', 'Butterfly Lovers', a flute solo 'New Song of Herdsmen', a 'Pipa Solo' and 'Guzheng solo' and 'Typhoon'. The teachers and students of this school had a wonderful taste of the unique charm of Chinese musical instruments.

A well-known Chirstmas song 'Jingle Bells' ends the concert. Studnets expressed their thanks and their love of traditional Chinese folk music to the performers.
