Dr. Liu Bingkai first presented that regular exercises could reduce the risk of developing cancer, reduce fatigue and improve the quality of life. He emphasized the innovation of Guolin Qigong in terms of cancer prevention and treatment, as well as mass teaching in the park. Dr. Liu introduced that the critical points of Guolin Qigong are to relax, to enter the status of meditation, to uptake more oxygen, to raise toes, to stroke, and to breathe with the rhyme of “inhale-inhale-exhale”. The method of Guolin Qigong to fight against cancer, as Dr. Liu said, includes the Daoyin by movement, by breathing, by awareness and intent, by self-massage on meridians, and by sound as well. At the end, Dr. Liu showed the audience how to walk and breathe in front of the building, and the audience followed him and practiced, which was really dynamic. The audience encouraged the staff in Confucius Institute of Artois to hold more conferences like this from which they learned a lot.
