On June 10th, 2017, students of the 14th Chinese Program for Foreign Diplomats visited the Chinese Medicine Culture Center of the Chinese Language International Promotion at Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, and experienced therapies including four diagnostic methods, massage, acupuncture and moxibustion, which helped them grasp the essence of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Altogether 40 students from 17 countries participated in the activities, including 23 diplomat students from 9 “Belt and Road” countries.

Students of the program first visited the Museum of Chinese Medicine. Through teachers’ patient and detailed explanation, students had a basic knowledge of TCM and Chinese herbal medicine. Afterwards, they went to the Chinese Medicine Experience Center with curiosity. After personally experiencing traditional Chinese therapies such as acupuncture and moxibustion, all students were really wowed by the charm of TCM.
