The 11th Confucius Institute Conference to be held soon
On December 7th, Yunnan Provincial Government announced that the 11th Confucius Institute Conference, with “Innovation, Cooperation, Inclusion, Sharing” as its theme, will be held in Kunming on December 10th and 11th.
A total of approximately 2,400 delegates are expected to attend this year’s conference, including university presidents and representatives of Confucius Institutes (Classrooms) from 140 countries, envoys from foreign embassies in China, representatives of foreign institutions of language and culture promotion, as well as representatives of relevant ministries, local educational authorities and Chinese partner institutions. Also at this year’s conference, Mr. Hao Ping, Vice-Minister of Education of China and Executive Council Member of Confucius Institute Headquarters, will chair a meeting on international exchanges of Chinese culture such as traditional Chinese medicine and Taiji, Confucius Institute and the "Belt and Road" Initiative Roundtable Forum, as well as the Directors’ Forums concerning the construction and development of Confucius Institutes. In addition, other series of events will be held, including Information Service of the Headquarters’ Programs, Confucius Institute Chinese Language Teaching Resource Exhibition, Creative Art & Culture at Confucius Institute, as well as Yunnan Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition and Exhibition of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
