Speakers at the inauguration ceremony
Minister of the Department of Social Development and International Relations of Soghd Province believed that the opening of this Confucius Institute would promote the cooperation between Soghd Province and China in education and people-to-people exchange. The Confucius Institute will boost local economic development by cultivating personnel with a mastery of both the Chinese language and professional knowledge, he added.
Zhou Jianjun noted that the establishment of the Confucius Institute at the Metallurgy and Mines Institute of Tajikistan marked a great event in China-Tajikistan cultural exchanges. He said that the Confucius Institute would meet the need of local people to study Chinese, help Tajikistan people better understand China and facilitate the communication between the two governments and peoples.
