Kites up in the sky

On May 17th, the Fort Collins International Kite Festival, co-sponsored by the Confucius Institute at Colorado State University, was launched in the beautiful Spring Canyon Community Park in Fort Collins. On that day, the weather was charming — the warm sunshine, gentle breeze, blue sky, white clouds and green grassland, so this festival featuring the Chinese dragon attracted over 13,000 local residents. The Confucius Institute at Colorado State University invited two kite masters from Weifang, Shandong Province in China — the hometown of kites in the world to the festival, which helped people in Colorado appreciate the unique glamor of Chinese kites.
