Mr. Pablo Salas Vazquez, an instructor of the Kung Fu group from the Confucius Institute at the University of Sheffield, was one of the four contestants this time. He started practicing martial arts since his childhood. He first learnt Taekwondo, Karate and Western boxing before he was fascinated by Wudang Internal Arts. In 2008, he went to the Wudang Mountain, the origin of Internal Arts, and spent long stretches of time of intensive training there. He then became a professional instructor of Wudang Internal Arts. In 2013, Pablo was appointed by the Confucius Institute at the University of Sheffield as the instructor of various courses including Wudang Tai Chi, Tai Chi and Pushing Hands, Wudang Qigong, Kung Fu Swords and Kung Fu Staff.

The other three contestants, Rolf Grandholm, Daniele Ranald and Giles Yeates, were all students on Pablo’s Kung Fu courses at the Confucius Institute at the University of Sheffield. They started to practice Wudang Kung Fu in 2014 following the instructions of Pablo. In this competition, they exerted all efforts and finally achieved excellent results.
