Speaking at the event, Deputy Director General Hu Zhiping elaborated the voluntary and cooperative schooling philosophy of Confucius Institutes by quoting Confucius’ idea of “don't do unto others what you don't want others to do unto you”. He also introduced that since Confucius Institutes always adhere to the principle of mutual respect, equal cooperation and mutual benefit, they have achieved rapid development and gained wide recognition from countries across the globe.

While addressing the event, Major General Yi Shuqiang, Political Commissar of CDS of NDU, first expressed his sincere gratitude towards Confucius Institute Headquarters for its support in Chinese language teaching and teaching resources since last year.
