Chinese Director in CIUNZA Was Commended by Ministry of Education of Zambia

On November 10th, 2014, Ministry of Education, Science, Vocational Training and Early Education of Zambia issued a letter to commend Prof. He Yi, Chinese Director of Confucius Institute at the University of Zambia (CIUNZA) for her devoted work exhibited in the past four years in the Chinese teaching and the promotion of cultural exchange and the friendship between China and Zambia.

It is said in the letter that Prof. He Yi’s has contributed significantly to the enhancement of good bi-literal relations between China and Zambia that exist. With her efforts, every project was running quickly and efficiently. In addition, Chinese language has become a degree course in university and student’s Chinese level has improved prominently. While the most notable contribution she made was collaborating with Zambian Ministry of Education actively to open Chinese classes in ten public schools of nation’s ten provinces. Chinese language was brought into the Zambian secondary education system which produces a profound and far-reaching impact.

The approval from Ministry of Education, Science, Vocational Training and Early Education of Zambia is a great encouragement for Prof. He Yi, and it is also the result of the cooperation of Hebei University of Economics and Business and the University of Zambia in the leadership of Hanban/ Confucius Institutes Headquarters.
