Recently, the well-known French fashion magazine Moment hopes to reprint the full text of “Fresh Town with a Long History --- Ping Yao”, which was originally published in the magazine Confucius Institute (French-Chinese bilingual version), China News Network reported.

This is not a unique case. A French magazine WE Demain writes to the editorial department of Confucius Institute (French-Chinese bilingual version), expressing their intention to reprint some of its articles. Encres vagabondes, a French book review magazine, also shows great interest in the Confucius Institute, and will introduce it to their readers.

Since its first issue in 2010, the Chinese-French bilingual version of the Confucius Institute has created its own distinctive features and gradually won the recognition of French mainstream society, which hence draws continuous attention of senior levels in French government and local media. In September 2013, the article Chuang Chou Dreamed of Becoming a Butterfly published in Chinese-French bilingual version of the Confucius Institute has been incorporated in the distance Chinese learning material for the second grade of senior high school by the Ministry of Education of France. The electronic edition of this article, together with extended teaching resources has been selected into the “Online Academy” established by the Ministry of Education of France.
