Cultural Lecture Entitled “Regimen and Food Therapy of Traditional Chinese Medicine” Held Successfully by Confucius Institute at Free International University of Moldova

At 5:35 p.m. on November 29, 2013, the cultural lecture entitled “Regimen and Food Therapy of Traditional Chinese Medicine” was held successfully in the conference hall Aula Magnifica by the Confucius Institute at the Free International University of Moldova. Dr. Lucia Fişer from the Traditional Chinese Medicine Center in Moldova was invited as the keynote speaker. Ms. Lucia Fişer studied the traditional Chinese medicine in China for many years and earned a doctorate in Zhenjiu (acupuncture) and Tuina (traditional Chinese massage) at Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

In the lecture, Dr. Lucia introduced to the Moldovan enthusiasts of Chinese culture and traditional Chinese medicine the history and essence of the development of traditional Chinese medicine, as well as its philosophy of regimen and method of food therapy. She also brought several common Chinese herbs to make interaction with the audience. Her lecture which is systematic, in-depth, vivid, and close to life, got a positive response from the audience. Moreover, Dr. Lucia answered patiently the audience’s questions concerning the regimen of traditional Chinese medicine, which is one of the cultural phenomena that embody and preserve the essence of traditional Chinese culture in a most complete way.

This event is designed to let more people in Moldova understand the traditional Chinese medicine, promote its exchanges and interactions with other medicines around the world, and thus make more people learn about and fall in love with the Chinese culture. Mr. Nicolae Ţău, Vice Rector of the Free International University of Moldova, attended the event and delivered a speech. A total of over 60 persons participated in this event, including Moldovan enthusiasts of Chinese culture, staff from the Free International University of Moldova, Chinese students in Moldova, students from the Confucius Institute, etc.
