Inspirational and Impressive – the Interactive Chinese Wellbeing Workshop in Wigan and Leigh College

The Wigan and Leigh College Confucius Classroom invited the London Confucius Institute for TCM to deliver the Interactive Chinese Wellbeing Workshop on Friday December 7th 2012. The students learned the art of acupuncture, cupping and self-massage. Dr. Jun She and Dr. Jian Chen’s demonstrations provided an excellent insight into traditional Chinese medicine.

The workshop aimed at providing students with a fundamental knowledge of what the Chinese Medicine and acupuncture are through the acupuncture demonstration, moxibustion, cupping and self-massage. 60 students, with related major such as Beauty Therapy, Massage and Sports Injury from the Image Centre of Wigan and Leigh College and the Wigan Sixth Form School, participated in the workshops.

Ms Louise Gray, Head of Image Center of Wigan and Leigh College gave her appreciation to the Confucius Classroom and London Confucius Institute for TCM by commenting, “thank you very much for organizing such a brilliant activity.
