Confucius Institute in Moldova organized a seminar about Chinese Knowledge

On October 27, 2012 - Confucius Institute at the Free International University of Moldova organized the first seminar about Chinese knowledge. The Director of Confucius Institute, Dr. Yang Tongjun made a presentation on the topic “The origins of Chinese Characters”, where he explained the evolution of Chinese characters from ancient bone inscriptions to the modern Chinese characters. Among those who attended the seminar there were students from ULIM, students from the National Center for Children and Youth “ARTICO”, as well as other students who are going to become professional Chinese-English translators. Dr. Yang Tongjun also presented relevant pictures and an animated PPT which were warmly welcomed by the people present at the event. The above seminar was part of the “Chinese Corner” activity organized by Confucius Institute. The event was held in the Reading Hall No.3 at ULIM.
