Chinese delegation presents Chinese culture lectures for CIUA
In the mid of March, 2012, a delegation from Jiangxi Normal University presented lectures on Chinese calligraphy and tea culture for 200 students and faculty members of Confucius Institute at University of Antananarivo(CIUA).
Mr. Luo Jingxin focused his lecture on the origin, evolution of Chinese characters and calligraphy, and the hows and whys of Chinese calligraphy. Mr. Hu Tao presented a lecture on the history of Chinese Tea, the species, manufacturing techniques, effects of tea and Chinese tea culture. Well designed in both form and content, the two lectures aroused the audience’s enthusiasm in Chinese culture.
During the break, local students performed traditional Malagasy dance and dance of Uyghur people in appreciation of the interesting lectures. After the lectures, Mr. Luo presented the “scholar's four jewels” (writing brush, ink stick, ink slab and paper), and his calligraphy works to CIUA.
