Confucius Institute at Mickiewicz University in Poland: Chinese Teaching Material Training Class for Native Chinese Teachers in Poland

On Dec. 23, 2011 and Jan.14, 2012，Confucius Institute at Mickiewicz University offered successful Chinese teaching material training class for native Chinese teachers in Poland.

Supported by Hanban, Confucius Institute at Mickiewicz University has recommended scores of native Chinese teachers of Poland to participate in the Chinese teaching material training classes in China by Hanban, which have greatly contributed to the cultivation of Chinese teachers in Poland and promoted the capacity of training native Chinese teachers by Confucius Institute at Mickiewicz University.

At this Chinese teaching material training class, Xu Zhijun, Chinese teacher of Confucius Institute at Mickiewicz University, Miss Joanna Hiler, Miss Kamila Wiatr, Mr. Wojciech Ryszard Karmasz and Miss Marte Mazurek, all of whom were once trained in China by Hanban, gave detailed and overall illustration for “Chinese Garden”, “Happy Chinese”, “Learn Chinese with Me”, “Modern Chinese” and “800 Characters of Chinese”, “Chinese Dictionary with pictures” and “Illustrated Chinese Dictionary” and “General Classroom Teaching Program of International Chinese”, Hanban-recommended Chinese textbooks, and gave detailed and overall introduction and probe into the teaching notion and writing characteristics of the textbooks, and offered detailed interactive exchange of the above textbooks with their own teaching experiences in using the textbooks.

26 native Chinese teachers of Poland from Poznan, Warsaw, Gdansk and other cities teaching at various state and private schools heard the wonderful lectures by the training teachers, and discussed about the textbooks from Hanban attentively, through which they dipped deeper into the Chinese textbooks, and meanwhile whey gave their own ideas and remarks about the contents and use of the textbooks.

In addition to the lectures and discussion, the training class was also divided into several groups, discussing and making PPT of language teaching plans and PPT of Chinese cultures, etc. following the results they learned at the training class. Each group also gave public demonstration with the teaching plan made at the class, which showed the training class a greatly successful and fruitful one. All the participants said that they learned a lot at the training class focusing on practice, with hope of more such high-level training classes of native teachers by Confucius Institute at Mickiewicz University so as to promote Chinese teaching in Poland.

At the end of the training class, Ms Syswia Witkowsks, director of Confucius Institute at Mickiewicz University, awarded to all participants Certificates of Training Courses of native Chinese teachers of Poland by Confucius Institute at Mickiewicz University.
