On September 1, Confucius Institute at Ricardo Palma University in Peru received the score reports and HSK certificates sent by HSK International, Hanban. All the candidates from the Confucius Institute passed the test and about two-thirds of the students achieved excellent results which may be marked with an A.

On July 23, 2011, 32 students of the Confucius Institute at Ricardo Palma University took the Chinese Proficiency Test held in the Institute. This is the first time for the Confucius Institute to administer the formal HSK since the opening ceremony of the CI in November 2010, and it is also the first time for the Spanish-Chinese translation majors in the CI and RPU to participate in the examination.

CI director, Professor Rosa Filipchuk and Co-director, Professor Pan Bingxin, are general supervisors, and Professor Gao Guixiang works as the supervisor. Most examiners and staff of the test center have many years of experience in organizing international language tests. The test is well-organized and administered strictly according to the HSK rules. All procedures have been completed as prescribed and everything goes smoothly.

The Confucius Institute made a very careful preparation for the HSK test and held a training session for the examiners and staff before the test. The Chinese language instructors, on the other hand, offered a test taking training program for the HSK candidates, so that the students learned about the test and took the test with great confidence.

The test participants were very excited to get their certificates. Their excellent performance in the test is actually a reward for their hard work in the past few months. They said that they would continue to work hard at the Chinese language and culture so as to become qualified professional translators as soon as possible.
