Sign Cooperating Agreement, Chinese “Heats Up”

On September 6, Confucius Institute at the University of Zambia (UNZA) signed a cooperation agreement with Hotel and Tourism Training Institute Trust, Zambia. Confucius Institute will assign Chinese teachers to teach Chinese language and Chinese martial arts at the Institute. Hotel and Tourism Training Institute Trust will provide teaching facilities, recruit students and conduct promotional activities.

Hotel and Tourism Training Institute Trust is the only higher institute to cultivate professionals in hotel management and tourism, having a great prestige in Zambia. Chinese Director，He Yi negotiated many times with Executive Officer, Mr. Wilson Silungwe, and finally reached the cooperating agreement. On the afternoon of 6th, September, the cooperating agreement was formally signed; Chinese teacher, Niu Xiquan witnessed this significant process.

In the wake of the successful anniversary celebration for Confucius Institute at UNZA, further efforts were put forward to enlarge the developing space of Chinese language teaching and cultural propagation. September 5th, the fifth Basic Chinese language class was provided. Meanwhile, the project of teaching Chinese language in primary and secondary schools is being actively operated.
