CIUA welcomes two new members

On June 8, 2011, the plate-awarding ceremony for Confucius Institute-University of Toamasina Annex and University of Fianarantsoa Annex was held in University of Antananarivo, Madagascar. Prof. Huang Jiawen, Vice President of Jiangxi Normal University and Prof. Abel ANDRIANTSIMAHAVANDY, President of University of Antananarivo co-awarded the annex plate to Prof. Gatien P. HORACE, President of University of Toamasina, and Dr. Fulgence RASOLONJATOVO, Vice President of University of Fianarantsoa. The two Confucius Institute sponsors donated textbooks, computers and printers to the two annexes as well during the ceremony. Zong Haifeng, consul from Chinese embassy to Madagascar was present in the event.

The inauguration ceremony signifies that Confucius Institute at University of Antananarivo (CIUA) has welcomed two new members. For the moment, CIUA has opened Chinese course in 3 out of the 6 public universities in Madagascar. (By Li Haijun, CIUA)
