Five Nationalities, One Family—CIUA organizes drawing competition to celebrate children’s day
On June 1, Confucius Institute at University of Antananarivo, Madagascar sponsored a drawing competition to celebrate International Children's Day. Under the guidance of a local cultural teacher and an artistic teacher, 31 kids from 5 cultural backgrounds, i.e., Belgium, China, France, India and Madagascar, expressed their idea of “family” with paintings.
Selected works from this event will form a painting of a length of 6 meters and be sent to Confucius Institute at the University of Vienna, Austria. The painting will then be displayed in Vienna International Center together with other 4 similar paintings organized by Confucius Institute in Australia, Peru, South Korea and USA The intention of the project is to interest children of all over the world for a constructive peaceful coexistence of multiple cultures.
