Madagascar: CIUA Art Troupe Brings China Breeze to Easter Celebration

A performance presented by the student art troupe of Confucius Institute at University of Antananarivo (CIUA) in a Chinese funded hotel on April 25, 2011 has brought a Chinese Breeze to Easter celebration in Malagasy capital Antananarivo.

The performance occurred in the morning and the afternoon, boasts of 26 performers and various programs. The Troupe presented both traditional Malagasy dancing and singing, and performances of Chinese style such as folk songs, Tibetan dance, Taijiquan and martial arts performance, bringing a sumptuous cultural feast to an audience of 300 people.

CIUA Art Troupe was established in 2010. The Troupe nicknamed Cultural Ambassador between Madagascar and China has presented performances on many occasions. (By Li Haijun, CIUA )
