Mr. Ding Wei, Chinese Ambassador to Italy, attend the opening ceremony of the Fifth Overseas Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition in Europe

On November 25th, the Fifth Overseas Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition in Europe, which co-conducted by Confucius Institute in University of Rome and European Association of Chinese Calligraphers, was held in Acquarilo Romanon, Rome. Mr. Ding Wei, Chinese Ambassador to Italy, Mr. Masini, vice headmaster of University of Rome and Italian director of Confucius Institute in University of Rome, Mr. Zhu Yong, Chinese director of Confucius Institute in University of Rome as well as many Italian crucial politicians attended the ceremony.

The exhibition lasted for 5 days, with more than 1000 overseas Chinese involved. Confucius Institute in University of Rome and the Confucius Classroom of Convitto Nazionale Middle School organized more than 100 students to visit the exhibition. After consulting with European Association of Chinese Calligraphers, Calligraphy experience-class will be conducted in Confucius Institute in University of Rome the next spring.
