Confucius Institute in Islamabad Holds the Exhibition of Chinese Textbooks and Culture Knowledge Materials

On 28th of October, the Ghazali block of National University of Modern Languages in Pakistan is crowded with people, because Confucius Institute in Islamabad is holding the exhibition of Chinese textbooks and culture knowledge materials here.

This exhibition is an important part of the touring exhibition plan of Chinese textbooks and culture materials for Confucius Institute in Islamabad. Earlier, on 24th of September, the exhibition of Chinese textbooks and culture materials has received enthusiastic response in the opening exhibition ceremony in Pakistan National Art Gallery. After that, this exhibition is an important act which focuses on spreading certain books.

Great Wall Chinese

To run this exhibition, Confucius Institute in Islamabad has conducted a careful research on supposed audiences and has made active pre-publicity. The exhibition is divided into three parts: Textbooks Exhibition, Summer Camp Photos Exhibition and Health Preservation in Chinese Therapy Video Exhibition. The textbooks which are provided by Hanban, are divided into 7 categories which are "Great Wall Chinese Textbooks", "Children Chinese Textbooks", "Chinese Ordinary Textbooks", "Chinese Test Books", "Chinese Dictionary", “Chinese Audio Primer " "Chinese Culture Readings" and so on. The Summer Camp Photos are carefully selected from the photographs which were taken during the campers were studying and visiting China in July. These photos are divided into Beijing, Shanghai and Shaoxing three exhibition areas. The Health Preservation in Chinese Therapy Video is taken from London Confucius Institute Chinese video site, which are divided into two categories, lecture and practice.

Chinese Audio Primer

The entire exhibition wins praises from all the visitors. Many students immediately ask to buy the exhibited materials, in which the curriculum design of "Great Wall Chinese", "Chinese Vocal Charts" and the model of multimedia interactive teaching marvels students. Camp photos show the ancient and modern China, which is commented by the campers with excellent voice and rich feelings and it conveys the vitality and dynamism of contemporary China, so that, the visitors’ intense feelings of longing to China is increased. More visitors linger before the video of Health Preservation in Chinese Therapy; they learn eye exercises, dance, Tai Ji and other Chinese health knowledge on-site and savor the ancient feelings through lengthy history which are contained in Chinese green tea.
