On October 23, ‘Thai Chinese Language Volunteers’ Teaching Plan Rating Symposium' was co-hosted by Confucius Classroom at Chltralada School and Confucius Classroom at Srinakorn School at Bangkok. This symposium was a great success. It aimed to regulate Chinese language teaching in Thai and improve the teaching level of Chinese language teacher volunteers.

This ‘Thai Chinese Language Volunteers’ Teaching Plan Rating Symposium' gave a detailed analysis of part of the selected excellent teaching plans and videos. The selection results will be edited into volumes by the Representative Office in Thailand in order to regulate Chinese language teaching in Thai and improve the teaching level of Chinese language teacher volunteers.

This symposium was hosted at the call of Thai Representative Office of Hanban. Management teachers with rich teaching experience, volunteer core teachers and excellent volunteer teachers were also invited to attend this symposium. Active discussions were had among the guests; every teaching plan was carefully read and rated with a score; common problems existing in the teaching plans were analyzed and suggestions for the revision of those plans were proposed in accordance with guests’ own experience. Besides that, improvement proposals on good teaching methods and in-class games in the teaching plans were made.

Wang Zhilian, management teacher from Thai Representative Office of Hanban, said: 'the selection is not all about singling out the excellent, but should be more about making concrete suggestions for the benefit of everyone.’

This symposium will also pick 20 authors with excellent teaching plans and excellent teaching videos to attend the second volunteer teaching skill demonstration competition of this year.
