Hanban/Confucius Institute Headquarters Attends Language Show 2010

London, October 15th—the annual Language Show opened at London Earls Court Exhibition Centre. Hanban/Confucius Institute Headquarters appeared at the occasion with the largest booth, which attracted a large number of visitors and became the focus of attention.
During the 3-day activity, in addition to offering consultation on Chinese education, Hanban also showcased hundreds of Chinese teaching materials and cultural books, and held keynote lectures focusing on “China Experience” and “Wisdom Language”. What’s more, there were also demonstration lessons given by directors of 12 Confucius Institutes all over the UK, such as London Confucius Institute, Confucius Institute for Business London and the Confucius Institute at the University of Manchester. Together with their foreign students, the directors also demonstrated calligraphy, painting and tai chi.

As the largest language education exhibition in the UK, the Language Show 2010 featured largest scale and largest number of visitors, which attracted more than 180 exhibitors, including the British Council, the National Centre for Languages, the Goethe Institute, BBC Learning English, Cambridge University Press and Oxford University Press.
