The “Charming Chinese Caravan” of the Confucius Classroom at Rayong Wittayakorm School Appears at Chanthaburi

Chanthaburi, September 21st—the Confucius Classroom at Rayong Wittayakorm School launched its “Charming Chinese Caravan” program in Chanthaburi. Some 400 teachers and students from Chanthaburi and the surrounding area’s schools gathered to experience the unique charm of Chinese culture.

In his speech, Mr. Manit Chanwan, Principal of Rayong Wittayakorm School stated that the activity’s aim was that of further increasing students’ enthusiasm for learning Chinese and to give them a deeper understanding of Chinese culture. The activity featured an array of colorful displays of traditional Chinese culture, such as guzheng recitals, tea ceremony, calligraphy and Chinese knots. A performer dressed in beautiful clothes played melodious music on the guzheng. In front of the tea ceremony booth, students dressed in cheongsams demonstrated the Chinese tea ceremony. Visitors learned to write calligraphy and make Chinese knots, savored tea while enjoying elegant music, having a real taste of the charm of Chinese culture.

Chinese games such as musical chairs and mouthpiece fully activated the students’ enthusiasm for learning Chinese. They were also active in learning Chinese songs. At this moment the venue was set in a sea of joy and happiness.

Accompanied by melodious music, the activity came to a successful close. The Principal of Siyanson School in Chanthaburi thanked the Confucius Classroom for hosting the activity which had given students a chance to experience Chinese culture.
