Hotani, September 5th—the Confucius Institute at Kansai Gaidai University successfully held the second new HSK test at its Hotani Campus.

The test covered a written examination ranging from levels 1-6 and an oral test (Intermediate), giving an overall assessment of the trainees’ comprehensive ability in listening, speaking, reading and writing. Teachers and students were impressed by the new oral test. Although the test came during the summer vacation and rare severe heat had enveloped Japan, there were still 53 graduates, undergraduates and junior college students at Kansai Gaidai University to take the test.

It is reported that 109 students took the first new HSK test held by the Confucius Institute on July 18th with a 90 student pass rate. The institute will launch its third HSK test this coming November.
