A Training Seminar for Volunteer Chinese Teachers in Central Thailand Commences in Bangkok
Bangkok, August 21st, approximately 100 volunteer Chinese teachers across Bangkok attended the “2010 National Commission for Education Volunteer Chinese Teacher Training Seminar” hosted through the joint efforts of the Confucius Classroom at Chltralada School and the Confucius Classroom at Assumption Commercial School.
The Thai Ministry of Education and Hanban’s Thailand Office both placed great importance on the seminar. The seminar was comprised of training programs such as: Sino-Thai Cross-Cultural Communication Skills, a Demonstration of the Plan of Teaching Chinese in Thailand, Exhibition of the Teaching Results of Excellent Volunteer Chinese Teachers, Evaluation of Teaching Quality in New Volunteer Chinese Teachers and FAQs about Teaching Chinese in Thailand. Participants agreed that they have learnt a lot from the seminar and were looking forward to attending further similar training programs that would enable them to learn from each one another, store experience, make new friends and make progress together. Cai Min, a volunteer representative said that the training program has offered volunteers a chance to learn from each other; it has not only helped them to make progress but also helped them to make new friends and combat loneliness.
According to organizers, the Confucius Classroom at Chltralada School and the Confucius Classroom at Assumption Commercial School will continue working together in the training of Chinese teachers, sharing of teaching resources and reinforcement of ties between volunteer Chinese teachers in Thailand.
