The Eastern China HSK Management Training Seminar Draws to a Successful Conclusion

In keeping with Hanban’s instructions on the strengthening of HSK management, Chinese Testing International hosted a HSK Management Training Seminar (for Eastern China Regions) between August 8th and 9th in Suzhou. Nearly 100 exam administrators from 14 HSK sites from across regions of eastern China participated in the training session and an examination.

Zhou Gaoyu, Head of Hanban Division of Testing delivered comments explaining the situation of the development of the HSK in China and the implementation of the new HSK, encouraging administrators to work hard in the promotion of the HSK and implement its management strictly.

The School of Overseas Education of Soochow University, as the largest HSK site in eastern China, has overcome difficulties posed by teacher resources and time shortages in the summer vacation and has aided Chinese Testing International in organizing the seminar.

During the two day seminar, tutors from Chinese Testing International offered classes related to registration management, exam management and exam proceeding, distributed educational materials for students, such as the HSK Management Handbook, HSK Administrator’s Handbook and HSK Registration Handbook and held a working meeting for the HSK administrators of eastern China. An exam for HSK administrators was held at the end of the working meeting, in the region of 90% of the teacher representatives passed the exam and have obtained HSK management certificates.

The training classes and exam have further regulated HSK management in eastern China, helped to explain the latest exam management measures, cultivated a large number of elite HSK administrators and contributed to the development and implementation of the HSK in China.
