Beijing, July 16, 2010 – 57 members of the Chinese Bridge Summer Camp for French Schools visited the Hanban/Confucius Institute Headquarters.

Representatives of the Division of New Initiatives and International Exchanges of Hanban first explained basic information regarding Hanban to members, and then members visited the China Exploratorium, the multilingual teaching resources exhibition and the exhibition area for Confucius Institutes. Members were very excited and experienced each one of the facilities at the China Exploratorium.

The Chinese Bridge Summer Camp for French Schools has been hosted by Hanban and the Education Department of the Chinese Embassy in France since 2009: the activity aims to boost French middle school students’ understanding of Chinese language and culture and enhance friendship between the youth of China and France.

Members will attend a series of Chinese language and cultural experience activities between July 12th and the 25th, these include Chinese language class, culture studies class and sports and cultural exchange activities with Chinese teenagers in Beijing Foreign Studies University as well as sight seeing.
