--Confucius Classroom at Assumption Commercial School Holds a Chinese Teaching Material Exhibition

Thailand, July 5th-the Confucius Classroom at Assumption Commercial School held a Chinese teaching materials exhibition at Saint Louis College, contributing to the festive atmosphere of the 25th anniversary of the college. In total, thousands of people from 10 local secondary schools came to visit the exhibition.

A large variety of books were on display at the exhibition, including textbooks compiled by the Confucius Classroom itself as well as Chinese teaching materials and audio-visual products developed by Hanban. The visitors asked the classroom about its Chinese language promotion and the experience of compiling Chinese textbooks. In addition to a number of books about traditional Chinese culture, which helped Thai students gain a better understanding of China's 5,000 years of civilization, a carefully-prepared performance was also given during the exhibition, offering visitors a taste of traditional Chinese culture. The audience expressed admiration of and applauded the melodious erhu music and elegant tea ceremony. A guzheng performance given by students from the Classroom brought the activity to a climax.

บาดหลวง ทวีศักดิ์ กิจเจริญ ประธาณกรรมการเซนต์หลุยส์, Chairman of the board of Saint Louis College, praised the Confucius Classroom for its support of Chinese teaching at the college. He also learnt Chinese language and painting with great interest under the guidance of classroom teachers.
