China’s Hunan Normal University’s Student Art Troupe Shines in St. Petersburg

St. Petersburg, May 17th – With the vigorous support of the Confucius Classroom at the Private Educational Institution, a performance staged by the student art troupe of Hunan Normal University in St. Petersburg received much success. The performance was also one of the major events for Russia’s Year of Chinese.China’s Hunan Normal University’s Student Art Troupe Shines in St. Petersburg

Zhang Zhiqiang, Consul General of Chinese Consulate General in St. Petersburg, Educational Counselor Peng Xuegang, Cultural Counselor Duan Xiaocong, Director of the Confucius Classroom at the Private Educational Institution Han Danxing as well as some Russian friendly personages watched the performance. Prior to the performance, Consul General Zhang Zhiqiang delivered a speech expressing welcomes to the delegation and thanking the delegation’s contribution to the promotion of Chinese-Russian cultural exchanges.

The theme of the performance was “Hunan Style”, artists brought Chinese folk songs and dances for the audience. During the performance, artists interacted with audience members; the atmosphere was warm and alive with enthusiasm.
