In order to enrich cultural exchanges within all social sectors, Chinese teachers at the Confucius Classroom in St. Petersburg organized a glee club by the name of “Little Pearl”. Members of the glee club, under the guidance of professional advice, learned to sing classic songs; both Chinese and Russian. On May, 9th, 2010, a ceremony was held to mark 65th anniversary of victory over fascism, and the Glee Club participated in a special performance at Sudanhe(pinyin) youth opera in St. Petersburg and staged a classic Russian  song about war “Эх Дороги” and a Chinese classic named “Jasmine Flowers” in respect of Russian veterans. The wonderful performance of the glee club garnered warm rounds of applause from the audience.
