The Chinese Delegation at the Cairo International Book Fair Donates Books to the Confucius Institute at Cairo University

On Jan 27th, the Chinese delegation from Cairo International Book Fair donated Chinese books to the Confucius Institute at Cairo University. Representatives from the China Publishing Group, the Department of International Exchange and Cooperation of the General Administration of Press and Publications of the PRC, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Press and Publication, Gold Wall Press, Zhejiang Education Publishing House, and the Jiangsu Provincial Bureau of Press and Publications all participated in the donation ceremony.

Junguo Wang, the Vice president of China Publishing Group, gave a Chinese book catalogue (34 sets of books in total) to the Confucius Institute at Cairo University on behalf of Chinese exhibitors. He also inquired about the book collecting situation at the Confucius Institute, and Egypt’s demand for Chinese books.

The Department of International Exchange and Cooperation of the General Administration of Press and Publications of the PRC brought a special gift to the Confucius Institute—the latest Chinese learning materials for Arabic countries.

During the book donation ceremony, Shengjun Li, the Chinese Director of the Confucius Institute at Cairo University, expressed his appreciation to leaders of the Chinese press who inspected the Confucius Institute for their support and help. He stated that the Confucius Institute would cherish and make full use of these teaching resources to make a better Confucius Institute.
